For the showroom, as with the Audi A8 (D3), battery power must be maintained on the new A6 or the systems will start shutting down via the battery management system (see ATE-04-14) for showroom installation). In the service garage, power must be maintained while working on the car for the same reasons. Diagnostic procedures and electronic module coding require batteries that are maintained at full capacity. For this important reason Audi of America has developed the new Midtronics PSC-300 Battery Maintainer/Charger. The Midtronics PSC-300 is a 30 amp fully regulated maintainer designed with high quality components to help ensure years of continuous use. Multiple protection features protect the PSC-300 for a long, trouble free life.
